Pizza and keeping lean? – Manly Curls shows it’s possible!

I love pizza.

If I had to write a top list of favourite foods it would look something like this:

1) Pizza

2) More pizza

3) Even more pizza

Actually, I am not being absolutely honest here, steak would probably be first there and donuts would possibly rank third but the point prevails: pizza is awesome.

Having a six pack is not about being all the time strict with one’s diet or being obsessive-compulsive about calories and carbs. I personally vouch for thinking of one’s diet as a nutritional and lifestyle approach, and then adding here and there some (what are known as) cheat meals or culinary pleasures. I will be talking in the future about cheat meals, how to incorporate them, how to manage any damage they may do to your physique efforts and much more. For the time being, however, I want to show you that one can still enjoy the culinary pleasures of life and still remain lean and mean.

So, I decided to take a break from blogging last night (how not!) and enjoy 3 family sized pizzas (plus a smaller one not pictured and ice cream). I threw in some tubs of cottage cheese to make it a healthier meal (can you hear me laughing out loud in the background as you read these lines?) although it was more of an effort to up the amount of protein that I was going to have for the day than anything else. Didn’t stop me from successfully finishing everything.

Full freaking stop.

Quick question Rogelio, you have some very developed upper back and traps for being a natural lifter, what exercises do you use to have such development? I am a natural lifter too and can’t get my traps to build any mass at all even though I do plenty of shrugs, pulldowns, rows, fronts and lateral raises.

Thanks and kudos to you for having this blog.
