As much as I dislike Disney-manufactured celebrities and the likes, Nick Jonas is a dude with a curly hairstyle and a set of curls that are worth blogging about. To be honest, I didn’t know who he or the Jonas Brothers were until recently for I am not much of a fan of commercial music (e.g I thought Lady Gaga was a male cross-dresser until like a month ago). Just like with Justin Guarini, I discovered this curly hair celebrity on one of my “leave the TV running in the background” moments during my blogging endeavours.
Nick Jonas is one of the the members of the Jonas Brothers, a pop-rock band composed of 3 brothers (Nick, Joe and Kevin) formed in 2005 and which fits the whole Disney “good guys” image that sells so much. I am not going to bother you guys with his biography and I have actually taken the time to listen to his music; as usual, it is nothing to write home about. One thing that caught my attention, however, was Nick Jonas’ curly hairstyle which he sports with a nice set of dark brown Type II curls that has his teenage (and not so teenage) fans going loco for him. This all is not a coincidence: Mr. Jonas styles his medium length curly hair in a trademarked manner that easily sets him apart from his brothers, and we know what happens when you make your curls a part of your image and take care of them, you hit jackpot with the opposite sex!

Don’t ask me, it is those easily influenced teenage girls who have made him a pin up!
You can be a fan of his music or not but what we can all agree is that his curls look great and he has obviously gone the length to build his image with his curls in mind. Nick has trademarked that whole “curly fringe caressing his forehead” hairstyle to give himself a unique image that exudes confidence and manliness. To give you an example of how his natural curls make such a positive impact in his image, take his brother Joe Jonas, who is also curly haired (albeit a different curl type) but is a fool and straightens his curls.

Half Peacock/half Girl Scout, Joe Jonas demonstrates how not being proud of your curly hair instantly turns you into a beta male
I am sorry, Joe Jonas, but those straightened curls make you look like a less feminine version of Justin Bieber. Unfortunately I think Joe must be thinking that straightening his curls to sport a commercially manufactured hairstyle is cool, so I am no one to burst his bubble. Let me reiterate, however, that I think straight hair is just as cool as curly hair, but using the flat iron to tame your curls and deceive yourself from that which is unique to you is not cool in this Manly Curls book. Dude, curly hair is a lifestyle, not a hairstyle!
On the other hand, you just cannot deny that Nick looks like a genuine confident curly dude who takes what nature gave him and walks proud with his head up and his set of bouncing diesel curls. Add the whole trademarked curly fringe hairstyle thing and you have a guy who is going to melt females in that spot that makes them come back more.
My hat goes off to you, Nick.
All the best.
Rogelio.

Thanks for posting guys, totally agree with you!
All the best.
LOL at the Lady Gaga comment. I think Nick Jonas is a great choice of celebrity Rogelio, I don’t like their (Jonas Brothers) music but Nick is known for having a very elegant hairstyle.
I completely agree. Confidence in yourself and being natural is naturally attractive.
