A Book for Men with Curly, Wavy, Kinky, Coiled & Afro Hair?

Well, that is it, gentlemen:

I HAVE WRITTEN A BOOK

And it is one bad-ass book. (update: and it is now published and available over at Amazon and specialized bookstores across North America and Europe!)

This book has been a big project of mine, and I’m so proud to have concluded this one literary journey and now share it with all of you.

Essentially, folks, it’s a book about all to do with curly hair for men, so it’s a book for those of you with wavy hair, kinky hair, kinky-curly hair, coiled hair, afro-textured hair, zig-zaggy hair, wavy-but-at-the-same-time-curly hair or miscellaneous hair; it don’t matter what your hair type is, this book is your manual for having great-looking hair, the masculine way (how not!).

In Word and with minimal spacing, the book is just over 200 pages. It’s a  lot; in fact, I originally wrote an extra 60 pages, and I had to cut them off the manuscript because the book is just too much. Being the first book I’ve written, I decided to just write and write and then write some more so as to get all the content out. Then, it was time to condense all of that, and that’s what these over 200 pages are about.

A hair book for men with curly, kinky, wavy and afro hair, whether short or long

Over 200 pages of knowledge, motivation and inspiration for having great hair without the filler crap

“But, Rogelio, tell us more about the book”, I hear you say.

Well, for starters, I have written this book for YOU. When I decided to write this book, I literally said, “I want to write a book that will provide a solution to a curly haired dude. A big solution, an overall solution, a holistic solution. I want to write something that I’ll be proud to share with others and that will have them solve a problem”. Fact is, some time later, I finished a book that gives a curly haired guy like you and I the option of living his life to its fullest while sporting a great-looking head of curls. Damn, it’s been a long time coming and I’ve spent many weekends writing till 6AM to get to where I am now.

This book not only covers all the stuff about getting your hair looking all awesome but it also contains a, check it out, part on the mentality of being a curly haired man. You know it as well as I do: to have curly hair, you have to endure some hair dramas and some social baloney that essentially make you not regard your hair as a positive asset of yours. Thus, my goal with this book is to have you flipping the view you have of your hair and have you converting your hair into a unique trait of yours that will very much enhance your life. To put it bluntly, this book is your one tool to finally getting your sh*t together.

This is some of the stuff that you will find in my book:

– All tidbits and interesting/cool/relevant stuff about curly hair

– All about grooming and how to do it daily

– All about hair care, including what nutrition to have for the greatest hair

– Styling: how to and what to choose including hairstyles for each of the 5 curl types and different hair lengths

How to shampoo and how to find your optimal shampoo use (including my Sebum Coating method)

Inspiration for your hair and how to live life with a great heat of curls

– Motivation and how to maintain it during your journey to an awesome mane of curls

– How to achieve your goal of having a great head of curls and how to keep it for the rest of your life

– A plan of action

– Tables and more tables (I’ve lost count of how many I’ve done)

– A complete and detailed guide on how to type your hair and measure your curls (using my own curly hair typing guide) and hair lengths

– Debunking myths

– Miscellaneous questions such as, “what should I expect from the opposite sex once I get my great head of curls?”

– Every chapter includes a section of how the content of the chapter has related to me, including cool personal stories

– And a lot more, it’s 200 pages in which I don’t stop showing you how to have a great head of curls atop your head as a modern male

Just as importantly, this book is from a curly haired guy for curly haired guys. No baloney, no bullcrap, no sugar coating, no zombie dust. All the content is this book is DIY: you will learn to manage your curly hair for the rest of your life with the convenience and manliness that is required for a 21st century modern male. This is not a fabulous diva book nor is this a pamphlet written by someone who doesn’t know what it’s like to live life as a modern curly haired male. Everything I’ve written in my book is relevant to you and will be of much value to sport a damn-awesome head of curls.

On top of that, I have allied with my good friend Tabrez, owner of This Is Cloud, a graphic design company, and who he himself is an uber-talented graphic designer (he actually hand-draws the designs first), and we have come up with a book cover that is just too cool for school; you will want to get the book just to keep its cover!

Publishing date? Well, keep an eye out for us here at Manly Curls (subscribe free for notifications on the top right column) as well as on Facebook and Twitter (I’m making notifications through both, so fan us and follow us!). Feel free to ask questions on anything specific and/or comment below; all I can say for now, though, is that the publishing date is very (very) soon, and you certainly don’t want to miss out on this book if you find my site minimally useful.

Till very soon with more news, fellas, and spread the word!

All the best.

Rogelio

P.S. I finally published the book as an awesome-looking paperback book that has gone on to become a bestseller and is now the manifesto to our revolution of cool heads of dude curls! You can see/buy/read more about the book (you’ll love the book’s title) in either specialized stores across North America and Europe or by visiting the official page of the book at Amazon.com (for those of you in the US or outside Europe) or, if you are in the UK or Europe, by visiting this other official Amazon page of the book.

Enjoy!
