Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior (born 5th February 1992), also known as Neymar, is a Brazilian soccer superstar known for some extravagant hairstyles such as Mohawks and layered styles. But is Neymar’s hair straight or curly?
You see, I follow soccer, and every time I open a newspaper or visit an online sports site, Neymar is on the news. Ok, the dude is good and does some cool stuff with the ball, but do we have to have him every day on the soccer news? In any case, I could not help but notice that Neymar does indeed have quite the affinity for hairstyles that are best done on straight hair, and thus the reason for him being spotted all the time with straight hair. But, is the hair of Neymar genuinely straight or is it actually curly?

Neymar’s natural hair is curly, not straight!
Well, Neymar’s hair is curly! That’s right, you’d count yourself lucky were you to catch a glimpse of Neymar with his natural curly hair, for the man himself goes to great lengths in always having his hair straightened. However, I’m sorry to break the news worldwide, but his hair is not real, or at least his hair texture, and he is not doing us curly haired dudes a favour by rejecting his curly hair all the time with all that straightening. I understand that Neymar loves his Mohawk hairstyle like I love steak, but dude, give your natural curls some rest!
To be able to break the news that Neymar does indeed have curly hair, I went on a mission to research Neymar’s youth pictures because pictures of a man (or a woman) in his teens never lie and always tell a guy’s real hair texture. Here are some pictures of Neymar when he was younger and sported his natural curly hair:

Neymar with blonde and straight hair, his hair is as real as “Chuck Norris losing a fight”, nam’sayin?
My question is now, what do you fellas think, does Neymar have Type IV or Type V curly hair? Let me know below in the Comments section when you’re done reading this article!
Neymar, don’t straighten your curly hair so much…
Neymar, brother, there’s nothing wrong with curly hair and you can certainly sport some cool curls yourself if you lay off the hair straightener and try to embrace those curls. In all fairness, I don’t blame Neymar though, his attitude to his hair is quite common among curly men: that of rejecting one’s curls by either straightening them or by buzzing them to a short length so as to forget about ’em curls. This attitude is one that I talk about in my bestselling book, The Curly Hair Book: Or How Men Can Now Rock Their Waves, Coils And Kinks, and it is also one that I refute throughout my book while ingraining in you the right attitude to have to sport great-looking waves, coils or kinks. I haven’t coined the term awesome mane for men’s curly hair for no reason, nam’ saying?
I know I have quite a few Brazilian readers here at Manly Curls, so will anyone who knows Neymar send the dude my way so I can convince him to start sporting his natural curly hair for a change?
All the best, fellow cool cats.
